History
Pan Africa Children Advocacy Watch, (PACAW) Inc. was founded in June 2007 and is headquartered in Maryland, USA. It is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization, under the Internal Revenue Service code. We are dedicated to nurturing a new generation of African leaders via access to a different education culture at the basic and secondary school levels.
Most of the poorest countries in the world are predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa. The huge deficits facing these nations in several sectors including infrastructure, education and healthcare systems are well known and need not be rehashed here. Unfortunately, following independence of the nations of sub-Saharan Africa from the European colonial powers, many of the leaders have yielded the thinking process and the plans for the development of their nations to various entities outside Africa. These entities include the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, World Health Organization, the G-8, "experts" from Europe and North America, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and scores of other philanthropic entities. Sadly, despite several decades of financial aid and help from "experts" from the West, and in recent years, from China and India, majority of these nations have made little or no progress. Indeed, most of them keep regressing.
PACAW, Inc. believes that the central issue facing these nations is colossal failure of leadership. Leadership failure characterized by mammoth corruption, abysmal lack of sense of the true meaning and purpose of life, lovelessness, despotism, lack of sense of nationhood, poor governance and a total lack of respect for the rule of law. PACAW, Inc. was founded to address these fundamental issues through engagement with the youths to transform their minds before they are irretrievably polluted by the current poor leaders of their nations.
